Update #43 – New language support, improved AI, and bug fixes.

Summer is here, and with it comes a fresh wave of enhancements and bug fixes for ChipBot.

This update primarily focuses on bug fixes and enhancements, building on the substantial improvements introduced in our previous major release.

  • 💬 Chat: An “AI” badge appears on any AI-generated reply.
  • 🛟 Help Desk: A new stand-alone FAQ example generator that can be used outside ChipBot.
  • 🎥 Video: Added ability to add a specific product to a Shopify cart.
  • 💁‍♂️ General: A new language option was introduced under User Settings. Chip“Bot now supports the following languages: Chinese (simplified), Dutch (Belgium), German, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish (Mexico).
  • 💬 Chat: Improved AI response accuracy for English-based contexts.
  • 💬 Chat: Fixed an issue where archiving a thread did not update the UI properly.
  • 💬 Chat: Fixed an issue where marketing dates were not reflecting the user’s timezone correctly.
  • 🛟 Help Desk: Improved reliability of generating FAQs and mitigated against AI stalling.
  • 🛟 Help Desk: Fixed an issue with Japanese text not inserting company profile data correctly.
  • 🎥 Video: Improved video performance when there are more than 79 videos.
  • 🎥 Video: Updated video playback to pause when someone clicks a link that opens a new tab.
  • 💁‍♂️ General: Improved ChipBot load performance on mobile (improvements to Lighthouse scores)
  • 💁‍♂️ General: Added “white label” API namespace.
  • 💁‍♂️ General: Improved AI inference performance across chat, video (script generator), and help desk.
