Update #34 – New Pylon Features, Video Install Tutorials, and White-Labeling

Introduce yourself before you introduce the opportunity.

That’s our core philosophy here at ChipBot, Inc., and we think this new feature brings us closer to realization.

You can now chain videos to other videos, which can add some compelling use cases and possibilities:

1. Create video funnels within ChipBot Pylons.
   Example: Add one button with the text “See our rates?” with another video linking to it describing your rates instead of going straight to a pricing or contact page.
2. Answer essential questions, in the moment, instead of going straight to FAQs.
   Example: Add one button with the text “See portfolio” with another video linking to it showcasing your portfolio

This adds to the growing list of interactions ChipBot can perform to make your business stand out.

Let us know some ideas you could use for this feature. I’d love to showcase you using this feature on social media or our email list.

Sometimes you might want to show a video based on a UTM parameter or based on mobile vs. desktop. But what if you didn’t have those but still wanted to differentiate your videos based on the incoming traffic?

We wanted an answer to this, so we added these two new User Behavior Events:

1. Activate by User Agent – target a user agent based on a pipe-delimited list.
2. Activate by Referrer – target a user’s referring domain based on a comma-delimited list.

Use cases:

1. Offer special promotions from specific referring domains.
2. Promote app downloads when the user is not within the in-app browser of your app.
3. Add user warnings when your SaaS dashboard needs to use a different browser or device.

• Added getArticles() which allows you to get all the articles known inside ChipBot. Useful for dynamically displaying FAQs in-page while keeping ChipBot Nexus the source of truth.

ChipBot could always customize the bot’s user interface, but what about the dashboard? What if you wanted to brand ChipBot the way you wanted to? Maybe you love Chipbot and want to resell it with your own twist!

Our new partner program (formally called agency plans) now allows you to completely rebrand ChipBot, invite team members, and even have your domain hosting a ChipBot-powered dashboard.

So who’s this for?

• Digital agencies and freelance web designers/developers with an active client base.
• Real estate brokerages with small to large agent teams.
• Medical practice firms with multiple locations.
• Affiliate marketers looking for a product offering of their own to sell.

We’re still in the process of updating the website on this, but here’s the pricing breakdown:

1. $49/mo for a white-labeled dashboard and 3 ChipBot instances
2. $119/mo for a white-labeled dashboard and up to 9 ChipBot instances
3. $199/mo for a white-labeled dashboard and up to 25 ChipBot instances

If you need more than 25 ChipBot instances, don’t hesitate to contact us for a custom plan.

For example, a customer is reselling ChipBot in the Netherlands. He reskinned some of our marketing promo to cater to that market. He pays us a flat monthly fee and can charge whatever he wants on top of it.

We added our first batch over February, with 5 new ones being added every week. We aim to cover about 80% of the small business website builders by the end of summer. So far, the only platforms we don’t support are Google Sites and GoDaddy’s Basic Website Builder since both platforms don’t support third-party floating widgets.

Also, in the dashboard, we’ll be backfilling all the missing ChipBot tutorial videos that will help with showing different ways to use ChipBot. It took forever to hire the right person to do these so I apologize for the emptiness on the tutorials page.

We’re working on two new things right now:

• Expanding our partner program for enhanced white-labeling use cases. E.g.: 100+ ChipBot deployments across sister companies and organizational domains.
• Working on a new iOS and Android app to support live chat. Target date: April 1st (as long as Apple doesn’t drag their feet on approval).
• Live chat enhancements. Adding “typing” indicator, read/send receipts, Nexus integration, and more.
