Welcome back! Last month, we didn’t roll out any major changes, but we’ve been hard at work. We’ve got a handful of major updates, as well as a large number of minor ones.
Read through to get up to speed on all the new things you can do with your ChipBot!
And don’t forget to check out our use-case blog to get some cool tips and tricks for the everyday use of your ChipBot.
While you were decorating your house for Halloween, we were working on improving ChipBot
We’ve added a new banner notice that will appear if you have yet to install ChipBot on your website.
Without installing ChipBot on your website, you won’t get any of the benefits, so this banner will now serve as a friendly reminder to get started.
We’ve also added an onboarding checklist for new users. When you click an item, it will provide you with more instructions.
Getting started can be overwhelming, but with the new onboarding checklist, we will walk you through everything, step by step.
If you get stuck, or lost, in the onboarding checklist, there are now help emails for new users.
The new help emails will serve as friendly reminder emails to help you stay on track when getting everything set up. That way, you can get the most out of your ChipBot experience right away.
To make sure you are fully informed, there are now more details when you hit the “Upgrade” button.
This way, you know everything you’re getting when you upgrade, and you can make a fully informed decision.
We also added new APIs, including:
Whenever open() is invoked, visibility rules and overrides will be disabled. Whenever ChipBot closes (either from the user or programmatically), the rules and overrides will be re-enabled.
The URL structure is now shorter and more readable for copying a Knowledge Base Article Link.
Links can be a real pain when they go on forever, so we made sure they are shorter and even readable so that it is easier to get where you need to go.
Along with all the major updates, we also made fixes to any issues that you may have been having with the software. The fixes include:
We want to make sure ChipBot runs as smoothly as possible for you and your users. Other minor additions and improvements include:
And finally, we are releasing a new Call to Actions interface later this month. This update will be covered in a separate post, detailing the complete overhaul of our CTAs.
They will be easier to configure and will produce more automated engagement value. Keep your eye out for the details on this later in October.
