ChipBot Update v2.2

What’s new? We’ve got a few updates for your website’s ChipBot!

Nothing major this month, but want to get you up to speed on all of the bug fixes and updates. Stay tuned for more major updates in the next release!

If you’re a solo founder, check out our last use case post to find out how to help your customers 24/7 when it feels like you have no extra time.

When creating a new domain, there was a glitch that caused 3 tiles to be created, 2 of which were the same. Now that it is fixed, creating a new domain yields 2 tiles:

  • An FAQ tile for users to find FAQs
  • A Contact Us tile for users to leave a name, email, and message

This update simplifies the process and allows you to focus on the customization of your ChipBot.

Sometimes users have questions you’ve never seen before. When that happens, they are taken to the no results page. We have improved the messaging and UI, so users are more likely to contact you when they can’t find their answer.

The updated messaging on the no results screen gives you a second chance to help your customer. They’re counting on you, and this shows that you want and are excited to help.

This month we also fixed an issue where the default thank you message was not showing up. Your customers come first, and the thank you page is one of the ways you can show that.

We recognized that the thank you page on the contact form was showing an incorrect message. But no longer! The thank you page has been updated with the correct messaging so your customers can see that you value their input.

The weekly report has been improved and updated. It will now include search queries without duplicates.

Multiple users may ask the same question, but we don’t want that to clog up your report. With the update, there won’t be any duplicate words in your report and you can focus on the questions being asked.

We’ve also fixed search queries from not being included in the report. Your last two weekly reports will not have shown search queries. That has been updated, so moving forward, they will appear at the bottom of your report.

Note: you won’t receive a weekly report if you haven’t had any website activity for the last 2 weeks – reports kick back up automatically if any activity is detected.

Feedback and contact email have been updated. If emails wouldn’t save when updating your email notifications on the dashboard, they will now.

We know these features are integral to communication with your customers. Make sure to update your email notifications so you get the full use of this feature.
