Update #41 – Multi-Region Access Points, Artificial Intelligence, and Feature Upgrades

We’re pleased to announce several significant updates that promise to enhance your experience with our platform. Our team has diligently worked to to bring some amazing capabilities to ChipBot. I have a few major highlights I want to share.

ChipBot has deployed an access point to Singapore for all ChipBot services. These access points enable three benefits for you and your customers.

  1. 800% performance increase for live chat response times from customers and your agents.
  2. 350% performance increase for Southeast Asian countries using the ChipBot dashboard.
  3. Improved high availability and redundancy, bringing ChipBot into the coveted 99.9999% uptime. This means ChipBot becomes more reliable for critical communications with your customers while still maintaining our same affordable price.

Countries such as India, Japan, Malaysia, are enjoying fast load times across all our services!

We are adding Frankfurt Germany later this year as our third access point.

We have two AI features we want to share that are entering general availability.

  1. Help Desk – Support content AI generation. We’ll crawl your website and have AI automatically create your most common FAQs. No more typing or importing these manually. This is enabled today for select customers, and will be generally released in the first or second week of March.
  2. Live Chat – AI Chat Agent. Starting end of March, we will be releasing to select customers our AI agent. This will only be available under the business plan. Your AI agent will learn your services, be able to tend to orders, and help qualify leads for you.

These features will be available as part of the Business, Commerce, Max, and White Label pricing plans. Additionally we will be releasing another offering to interact with these APIs directly for a separate cost. Contact our support for me details.

  • 💬 Chat: Customizable Pre-Chat Forms. Now supports phone number and privacy checkbox.
  • 💬 Chat: User tags. Agents can now attach custom meta data to a specific customer profile.
  • 💬 Chat: Copy/paste attachments. Agents can now copy and paste a file from their desktop and paste it into chat as an attachment.
  • 💬 Chat: Updated customer tracking to include Facebook, Google, TikTok, and other UTM based campaign IDs to show up as part of the first landing page data.
  • 💬 Chat: Added ability to block users.
  • 💬 Chat: Added chat spam deterrence and cooldowns.
  • 💬 Chat: Added support for visitors to upload more files types.
  • 💬 Chat: Added ability to preemptively chat with customers before they engage with you (requires pre-chat form to be at least filled out). We also added new APIs to set this data within a JavaScript snippet, which is useful if you know the customer information ahead of time.
  • 💬 Chat: Added typing indicator for the visitor. Also is used when AI is “thinking” of a response.
  • 💬 Chat: Added active visitor count on the top of the dashboard.
  • 💬 Chat: Added new audiable notifications when a visitor fills out a pre-chat form.
  • 💬 Chat: Added Web API event log when a user fills out a pre-chat form (this benefits improved data collaboration between your services.).
  • 🎥 Video: Added new domain webbook when a video job finishes
  • 💁‍♂️ General: Added new API docs page! Plus updated Zaps on Zapier.
  • 💬 Chat: Improved “unread” indicator when a message is read by you or an agent.
  • 💬 Chat: Improved chat sync when you have multiple agents interacting in the same account.
  • 💬 Chat: Added refresh button which refreshes the threads and messages (useful when your connection is unstable).
  • 💬 Chat: Switching between chats will remember which customer profile sections you have open within the current session.
  • 💬 Chat: Active user counter will always stay active after idling in the browser (this enables agents who want to keep multiple windows of ChipBot chat open).
  • 💬 Chat: Added support for eastern European characters.
  • 🎥 Video: Added ability to change video source when recording your own video through the browser webcam.
  • 🎥 Video: Zoom will always be set to to 0% if it’s not needed (9:16 videos).
  • 🎥 Video: We now support 1GB video uploads.
  • 🎥 Video: Improved error messaging when a new video upload is disrupted by poor connectivity.
  • 🎥 Video: Setting a title on a video will present an option to make it public.
  • 🎥 Video: If multiple videos are set for a page, closing one video icon will close all of them.
  • 🛟 Help Desk: Search term data now loads instantly under analytics.
  • 💁‍♂️ General: User profile picture now shows up on the top right of the dashboard.
  • 🎥 Video: Fixed an issue where videos under 30FPS would have a 1/8 audio/video sync mismatch.
  • 🎥 Video: When a user clicks on chat or the help desk, through a video button, and then wants go to back, the right video will now show up.
  • 🎥 Video: Fixed an issue where videos would not auto play correctly within the Android Instagram App.
  • 🎥 Video: Fixed an issue where grid video thumbnail doesn’t sync up properly with the actual video (creating a flash of different frames on hover).
  • 🎥 Video: Fixed an issue where actors would not auto play correctly when previewing them.
  • 🎥 Video: Fixed an issue where actors would not play correctly within the TikTok browser.
  • 💬 Chat: Fixed an issue where load more conversations was hidden on the dashboard.
  • 💬 Chat: Fixed an issue where setting the sound notification was not correctly showing the default option.
  • 🛟 Help Desk: Fixed an issue where sometimes the title would not show up.
