Update: Ultra Fast Loading, New Features, and Bug Fixes.

It’s been quite a while since our last update post, but we’ve released continuous updates since our last post. I think it’s long overdue for a recap, so here we go!

• Starting the process on unifying our product messaging. If you haven’t noticed, our new homepage doesn’t mention “Pylons” or “Nexus.” The features didn’t go away. Everything is now simply part of ChipBot. The dashboard hasn’t reflected this but we are already underway on changing the wording.
• ✅ Improved performance on ChipBot across the board. Anyone who runs Lighthouse or GTMatrix tests can rerun their tests to see the delta.

• Added ability to add logo watermark to your ChipBot videos.
• Added FAQ generator within the knowledge base.
• Added Google Analytics 4 tracking support. We still support Universal Analytics until Google sunsets UA on July 1st, 2023.
• For marketers and developers: you can now execute JavaScript as a button inside your videos.
• New client-side APIs:
  • chipBotApi.getRules() – Returns the current set of visibility rules.
  • chipBotApi.getVideoExpByFolderName(folder) – Returns videos by folder name. Useful for dynamically pulling videos from within ChipBot’s content manager.

• ✅ Improved email chat notification delivery reliability.
• Added ability to add blank lines inside the video preview icon.
• Added ability to enlarge ChipBot videos when they’re playing in landscape mode.
• ✅ Added a new device rule to only show the video based on a desktop, tablet, or mobile screen size. This allows you to have different video settings based on the device!
• ✅ Added Service Worker push notifications for iOS 16.x Beta and Android. Once iOS promotes this functionality outside beta, I’ll post a separate announcement.

• Fixed an issue where the button background color for a video button would not persist when re-editing.
• Fixed an issue where the dropdown in the rich text editor in the global footer editor was not showing.
• Fixed the small landscape icon on the dashboard from not rendering correctly.
• Fixed an issue where sometimes editing video buttons would get slightly cut off in the preview screen.
• Fixed an issue on the TikTok browser where the icon video would not autoplay.
